Emergency and Safety Preparedness
Each quarter, the Ward 1 Neighborhood Advisory Board is focusing on an important safety and emergency preparedness topic. The goal is to share information that will improve the resiliency of our neighborhoods. As these topics are discussed, information will be posted below. Feel free to share with your friends and neighborhoods!

Engage With Your Neighbors on Social Media
Join the new City of Reno Ward 1 Facebook Group! The purpose of this group is to serve as a two-way communication tool that allows residents to share their thoughts on hot topics, events and other news pertaining to their neighborhood. We will also share important news and information about the City of Reno and the NAB. Our NAB Facebook Group Guidelines explains how we will use these groups.
Share photos and experiences within your neighborhood using the hashtag #MyNAB1
Where is your favorite place in Ward 1 to meet with friends? Best place to relax? How about your favorite spot to enjoy the outdoors? Share your favorite places in Ward 1 using the hashtag #MyNAB1 and your photo might appear in an upcoming Ward 1 newsletter.

Old Southwest Neighborhood Watch
In January 2016, the Ward 1 NAB and the Reno Police Department hosted a training about Neighborhood Watch. Three new Neighborhood Watch groups formed in the Old Southwest. Find out who your block captain is and get involved! Here's some additional materials provided at the January training:
